Six out of every ten Norwegians are of the opinion that immigration is positive for the country, while 23 per cent are opposed. This is shown by a new survey carried out by Sentio.
People living in Oslo and other larger cities were more positive to immigration than those living in rural areas.
The poll was made for the newspaper Nationen. In last year’s survey, 46 per cent were positive to immigration.
Also, younger people are more positive to immigration than the older generation, and so are those with higher education.
