China court upholds verdicts on former Rio staff

A Shanghai court said Monday it had upheld guilty verdicts against three Chinese former employees of mining giant Rio Tinto who were sentenced to jail for bribery and commercial espionage. A local court on Saturday sentenced to death a man who attacked and hurt 29 children and three teachers at an eastern Chinese city kindergarten last month.
