Thousands watch The Passion in Gouda Municipality Holland

Up to 20,000 people watched a live modern-day performance of The Passion in Gouda’s historic centre on Thursday evening to mark Easter. The turn out for the free outdoor musical was twice as high as expected. The musical told the story of the Crucifixion of Christ with Dutch pop songs performed by well-known Dutch artists. Dutch want to block EU budget

The Dutch government wants to join forces with other European Union countries to block the European Commission’s plan to raise the EU’s budget by 4.9 percent. Dutch Crown Prince Willem-Alexander will be camping on an ice cap in Greenland in May. His stay is at the invitation of the World Wildlife Fund. Hague council: mosque ban is discriminatory in Holland

If Antarctica’s icecap melts, the sea off the Dutch coast will rise by 120 centimetres, an official report says, but if Greenland’s icecap melts the North Sea will only rise by 40 centimetres. Dutch Cabinet to get tough on jobless Europeans, and bad employers

European nationals who do not have a job or who cannot financially support themselves will have to leave the Netherlands within three months, if new rules the government is planning to introduce come into force.
